A digital model of the Avalon Marshes area has been formed, allowing this journey to the Iron Age settlement known as Glastonbury Lake Village to be recreate.

The Lake Village Museum presents an insight into everyday life in an Iron-Age settlement, dating from around years ago, when much of Somerset’s landscape was covered by marshy sea.

Although these marshes have long been artifically drained, the excellent preservative properties of the peaty wetland soils in the Glastonbury area left an archaeological legacy of international importance.

Glastonbury with its myths, legends and ley lines has become a centre for New Age culture and spiritual healing. The town is rich with historic buildings.

The Tourist Information Centre and Lake Village Museum are located in the Tribunal, a 15th century building thought to be an Abbey Court House.
